Because love knows no labels - only connection
Inclusive, Legal and Crafted from the Heart
Because love deserves to be seen, celebrated and recognised - equally. At Timeless Ceremonies, I believe love is love pure and simple. Every couple deserves the right to celebrate their union in a way that feels authentic, inclusive and deeply personal. As a registered solemniser, I’m honoured to legally marry same-sex couples across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Whether you envision a vibrant, joy-filled celebration or an intimate gathering surrounded by loved ones, I’ll help you create a ceremony that feels warm, meaningful and unapologetically you. From guiding you through the legal steps to writing a personalised ceremony that captures your shared story, my goal is to ensure your day feels seamless, emotional and full of pride.
Your story, your style, your celebration - exactly as you dream it
Celebrating Love in All Its Beautiful Forms
A ceremony that celebrates who you are openly and joyfully. Your love story deserves to be celebrated exactly as it is without compromise or conformity. Every couple’s journey is unique and your ceremony should reflect that. Whether you’ve been together for decades or are just beginning your next chapter, a same-sex wedding ceremony offers the freedom to honour your partnership in a way that feels authentic to you. Some couples prefer a relaxed outdoor ceremony with laughter and music whilst others choose a classic formal setting filled with family traditions and emotional moments. Whatever your vision, I’ll help you create a ceremony that feels both legally recognised and emotionally resonant. You can include readings, rituals or cultural traditions that hold meaning for you - from candle lighting and handfasting to personal vows or symbolic gestures. The result is a ceremony that celebrates not just equality, but individuality.
Equal in love. Equal in law. Exceptional in meaning
What Is a Same-Sex Wedding Ceremony?
Legal, personal and full of heart. A Same-Sex Wedding Ceremony is both a legal union and a celebration of love, equality and shared commitment. Since marriage equality was introduced in Ireland (2015) and Northern Ireland (2020), same-sex couples enjoy the same legal rights, recognition and freedom to marry as any other couple. This means your ceremony can take place almost anywhere - in a hotel, castle, garden, or private venue (provided the venue meets legal requirements). As a registered solemniser, I can legally officiate your marriage across both jurisdictions, ensuring your ceremony meets every requirement while feeling entirely personal. A same-sex wedding is a moment to celebrate how far love has come - not just as a right, but as a shared joy. It’s about recognising your bond, your journey and your choice to walk through life together as equals. In every ceremony I create, I aim to balance tradition and creativity, formality and fun, emotion and celebration so your wedding feels as alive, joyful and genuine as your relationship.
Making the legal simple so you can focus on the love
How the Legal Process Works
Step by step, with guidance and care. The legal steps for same-sex marriages are identical to any other couple - equality under the law means equality in every detail. In Ireland, you’ll: Give at least three months’ notice to the HSE Registrar. Attend an appointment with your chosen documents and details of your solemniser. Receive your Marriage Registration Form (MRF). Sign it during your ceremony with two witnesses to make your marriage legally binding. In Northern Ireland, the process involves submitting a Marriage Notice Form at least 28 days in advance, presenting identification, and having your ceremony performed by a registered solemniser in an approved venue. I’ll guide you through each step from your initial paperwork to signing the MRF ensuring everything is simple and stress-free. You’ll have total clarity on what’s needed, when and how to prepare.
No scripts. No limits. Just love, your way
Your Ceremony, Your Way
Freedom to celebrate love on your terms. Legal doesn’t mean rigid. Within the legal framework, there’s room for creativity, warmth and personality. You can design a ceremony that blends the structure of a traditional wedding with the heart of a deeply personal celebration. Together, we’ll decide on the tone and flow - from the entrance and readings to the vows, rituals and signing of the register. You might choose to include: Personal vows written in your own words. Rituals of unity such as sand blending, handfasting or candle lighting. Cultural or family traditions to honour your heritage. Music, poetry or personal tributes that make the ceremony feel uniquely yours. Your ceremony can be romantic, modern, light-hearted or deeply emotional. The only requirement is that it feels true to you.
Inclusive. Respectful. Real - because your love deserves nothing less

Questions About Same-Sex Weddings
Planning a same-sex wedding is just as simple and beautiful as any other but it’s natural to have questions about the process, legalities and personal touches. Here are some of the most common questions couples ask when planning their ceremony.
Are same-sex marriages fully legal in Ireland and Northern Ireland?
Yes. Marriage equality is recognised in both Ireland and Northern Ireland, which means your marriage is fully legal and protected by law in both jurisdictions. As a registered solemniser, I can marry couples anywhere across the island.
Can we include traditional or symbolic rituals in our ceremony?
Absolutely. You can incorporate any traditions, readings, or rituals that reflect who you are - from unity candles to handfasting or meaningful cultural elements. Your ceremony can blend the traditional and the modern, with every detail chosen by you.
Do we have to follow a different legal process as a same-sex couple?
No - the legal steps are identical for all couples. You’ll give notice, receive your Marriage Registration Form (in the Republic) or Marriage Schedule (in Northern Ireland), and sign it during your ceremony. I’ll guide you through each stage to make everything clear and stress-free.
A ceremony that honours love - without limits
