Timeless Ceremonies

Because every couple deserves a ceremony that feel true to them

Inclusive, Personal & Legally Recognised Ceremonies

At Timeless Ceremonies, I create warm, inclusive same sex wedding ceremonies that are personal, meaningful, and completely centred around you as a couple.

Your ceremony should reflect your relationship, your story, your values, and the life you’re building together, in a way that feels genuine, relaxed, and true to who you are.

As a Registered Solemniser, I’m honoured to legally marry same sex couples across Ireland and Northern Ireland, guiding you through both the legal and ceremonial aspects of your wedding day with care and reassurance.

Whether you’re planning a vibrant celebration surrounded by family and friends or a smaller, intimate ceremony, I’ll work closely with you to create something that feels welcoming, emotional, joyful, and deeply personal.

Every couple deserves to feel fully seen, celebrated, and comfortable being themselves on one of the most important days of their lives.

Making the legal simple so you can focus on the love

How the Legal Process Works

Step by step, with guidance and care.

The legal steps for same-sex marriages are identical to any other couple - equality under the law means equality in every detail.

In Ireland, you’ll:
Give at least three months’ notice to the HSE Registrar.

Attend an appointment with your chosen documents and details of your solemniser.

Receive your Marriage Registration Form (MRF).

Sign it during your ceremony with two witnesses to make your marriage legally binding.

In Northern Ireland, the process involves submitting a Marriage Notice Form at least 28 days in advance, presenting identification, and having your ceremony performed by a registered solemniser in an approved venue.

I’ll guide you through each step from your initial paperwork to signing the MRF ensuring everything is simple and stress-free.

You’ll have total clarity on what’s needed, when and how to prepare.

No generic ceremonies. Just something that feels truly you.

Your Ceremony, Your Way

A legal wedding ceremony can still feel deeply personal.
Within the legal framework, there’s space for warmth, creativity, emotion and individuality.

Together, we’ll shape a ceremony that reflects your relationship, your personalities and the atmosphere you want to create, whether that’s relaxed and light-hearted, deeply emotional or somewhere beautifully in between.

Your ceremony may include:
• Personal vows written in your own words
• Symbolic rituals such as handfasting, candle lighting or sand blending
• Meaningful readings, music or poetry
• Family traditions or cultural elements that matter to you
• Moments of laughter, reflection and genuine connection

Every detail is chosen with intention.
The result is a ceremony that feels natural, heartfelt and unmistakably yours.

Clarity, confidence, and equality - for every couple

Questions About Same-Sex Weddings

Planning a same-sex wedding is just as simple and beautiful as any other but it’s natural to have questions about the process, legalities and personal touches.
Here are some of the most common questions couples ask when planning their ceremony.

Are same-sex marriages fully legal in Ireland and Northern Ireland?

Yes. Marriage equality is recognised in both Ireland and Northern Ireland, which means your marriage is fully legal and protected by law in both jurisdictions. As a registered solemniser, I can marry couples anywhere across the island.

Can we include traditional or symbolic rituals in our ceremony?

Absolutely. You can incorporate any traditions, readings, or rituals that reflect who you are - from unity candles to handfasting or meaningful cultural elements. Your ceremony can blend the traditional and the modern, with every detail chosen by you.

Do we have to follow a different legal process as a same-sex couple?

No - the legal steps are identical for all couples. You’ll give notice, receive your Marriage Registration Form (in the Republic) or Marriage Schedule (in Northern Ireland), and sign it during your ceremony. I’ll guide you through each stage to make everything clear and stress-free.

Together, we’ll make your “I do” a celebration of everything you are
