A Little About Me

I’m Karen O’Beirne, a Registered Solemniser and Celebrant based in Co. Louth, working with couples across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Before becoming a celebrant, I spent more than 30 years working in hospitality, with weddings forming a huge part of my career. That experience has given me a very practical understanding of weddings — how the day works, what couples worry about and, importantly, how to keep things relaxed.
Now I get to concentrate on one very important part of the day: your ceremony. Every ceremony I write starts with the couple in front of me rather than a standard script or template.

We honestly couldn’t recommend Karen enough! From the very beginning, she was absolutely amazing and made the whole process so easy for us. We really didn’t know what we needed to do when it came to the legal side of getting married, especially as we were getting married in Ireland, and Karen guided us through everything step by step. She made sure we had everything organised correctly and took so much of the stress and worry out of the process. When it came to the ceremony itself, she made it feel so personal to us. She took the time to get to know us and our family, and the ceremony was warm, relaxed, meaningful and completely reflected us as a couple.
