From my first encounter with Karen, I knew she would be perfect for our wedding ceremony. She listened and understood what we as a couple and a family were looking for. Nothing was ever an issue with her. She gave us lovely ideas on how to incorporate our young boys in the ceremony, something that was important to me. She had me at ease right from the beginning of our first phone call. Her kind and gentle nature made us feel very calm and relaxed on the day, I couldn’t have asked for more. Would highly recommend Karen.

We just want to say a HUGE thank you to Karen, our big day was everything we hoped for and more. From our first meeting to the big day itself, Karen was so professional and considerate. Karen was always there for advice and really helped us create a ceremony that reflected us as a couple. It was truly beautiful and very personal. Thank you for making us feel so at ease and relaxed, the whole experience was so seamlessly perfect. We are so happy you were part of our journey and can't wait to start our next chapter together ❤️ Lots of Love, Shauna and Alan xo

Answers made simple

Frequently Asked Questions About Weddings in Ireland & Northern Ireland

From legal requirements to personal touches, here are the answers to the questions couples ask me most when planning their wedding ceremony.

Can we get legally married in our own home or garden?

No - under Irish law, a legal wedding must take place in a venue that has public access and is open for inspection. Private homes and gardens don’t qualify. Don’t worry though as there are plenty of stunning hotels, castles, heritage centres and outdoor spaces that do meet the requirements and I’ll guide you through your options.

What makes a wedding legal in Ireland and Northern Ireland?

For your marriage to be legally recognised, you need a registered solemniser (like me) to perform the ceremony, plus a venue with public access. You’ll also need to give notice to the registrar in advance and have two witnesses present on the day. I’ll walk you through all of this step by step.

Do you perform weddings outside my county?

Yes - I officiate weddings right across Ireland and Northern Ireland. From Dublin city weddings to countryside castles in Cavan or coastal ceremonies in Down, I’m available wherever your love story takes you.

What types of ceremonies do you offer?

I provide legal wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, elopements and commitment ceremonies. You can also add symbolic rituals like handfasting, unity candle, sand blending, ring warming, wishing stones, or a time capsule to make your ceremony even more personal.

Ready to Begin?

Wherever you’re planning to say “I do,” I’d be honoured to create a ceremony that’s truly unforgettable.
